Fire protection systems audit
The main aim of a detection and protection systems audit is to ensure that they are in good working order, and are suited to the fire risk.
As a design office specialising in fire safety, CYRUS INDUSTRIE audits your systems in line with current standards (APSAD, NFPA, FM GLOBAL) and regulations (Installation Classified for the Protection of the Environment – ICPE).
This fire safety audit phase is essential before starting any upgrading work.
The objective is to analyse the fire risk and how suited the existing systems are to this risk, as well as their compliance with both regulatory requirements and with the company’s and/or insurer’s standards.
We begin by collecting input data (file of work carried out (DOE), plans, history, etc.) before auditing existing fire safety systems and equipment (visual inspection without dismantling or taking samples).
Based on on-site surveys, we analyse the fire risk by zone, as well as the compliance of fire safety systems with regulatory requirements and the company and/or insurer’s requirements:
- Classification of activities and fire risks,
- Definition of the protection required under the current rules,
- Comparison of differences between the current systems and the applicable rule.
Where appropriate, we comment on the obsolescence of systems and their potential malfunctions.
We list and briefly describe the various technical solutions available for improving fire detection and protection systems. This allows us to draw up a budget estimate for these potential improvements, with a view to integrating them into an investment plan. We conclude with the drafting of an audit and improvement report.
