25 June 2020Existing upper- and lower-tier Seveso sites must undergo a seismic study according to the seismicity zone in which it is located, pursuant to article 12 of the Ministerial Order of 4 October 2010.
Following publication of the Ministerial Order of 15 February 2018 in the Official Journal of 3 March 2018, the installations concerned by this seismic study have been reviewed and the deadline for delivering the corresponding reports put back.
Existing upper- and lower-tier Seveso sites in seismicity zone 1, and existing lower-tier Seveso sites in seismicity zones 2 and 3, are no longer required to provide a seismic study.
The seismic study for existing upper- and lower-tier Seveso sites in seismicity zone 5 must be presented by 31 December 2018 at the latest.
The seismic study for existing upper-tier Seveso sites in seismicity zones 4 and 2 must be presented by 31 December 2020 and 31 December 2021 at the latest. For upper-tier Seveso sites in seismicity zone 3, the deadline for presenting the study is also 31 December 2020.
The seismic study for existing lower-tier Seveso sites in seismicity zone 4 must be presented by 31 December 2022 at the latest.
