French Labour Code

Fire prevention and firefighting means are defined in the French Labour Code, by:

• Book II – Measures applicable to workplaces
• TITLE I – Client obligations for workplace design
• Chapter VI – Fire and explosion hazards and evacuation
• Section 7 – Fire prevention and firefighting means

R.4216-30: “Buildings and premises are designed or fitted out such as to comply with the measures relating to the fire prevention and firefighting means provided for in articles R. 4227-28 to R. 4227-41.”
