Guide DT 114, recognised by the Ecology Ministry, is mainly intended for Seveso sites. It will help you manage industrial risks by indicating the standards to be followed.

The purpose of this document is to eliminate or reduce the dangerous phenomena generated by your equipment so that they no longer exceed site limits or, failing that, only affect areas without permanent human occupancy. Several strategies are possible*:

• Reinforcing the equipment.
• Replacing the equipment.
• Moving the equipment.
• Reducing the risks at source.
• Setting up technical barriers to reduce the effects of the dangerous phenomena.

Controlling these risks is vital for the protection of the local population and the environment. To be operational against such potential natural catastrophes, various studies (danger studies, technical and economic studies relating to risk mitigation, reliability, availability and maintainability analyses, etc.) can be conducted with the aim of verifying the conformity of your equipment.
